Cant get out of hibernation/sleep mode

Hi, I left my laptop on over night and think its gone in hibernate mode and the screen won't come back on, the power light is on and some of the keys are flashing so I know the laptop is still working but the screen just won't come on iv tried hard resetting and all that but nothing will work?
