My laptop computer model # is : HP Pavilion dv6-2173cl

Caps Lock / Num Lock LEDs are blinking continuously.

What does that indicate and/or mean?

Hi,

Please try a hard reset and see if it works.

1. Power off your laptop
2. Remove the a/c adapter, battery and everything that is attached to your laptop.
3. Hold the 'POWER 'button down on your laptop for about 10 seconds.
4. Plug in the a/c power supply (without battery) and power on.

Regards.

I stepped as the numbered procedure, which you said to me.
And the 2 LEDs blinked 3 times, and the laptop computer was turned off and then turned on, and the 2 LEDs blinked continuously.

I found the answer of the Error Conditions on the last eBay email, which I sent to you.
It says "LEDs blink 3 times(Caps Lock/Num Lock LED)--Memory(Component Tested)--Module error not functional(Error Condition)".
Do I need to replace the old Laptop RAM Memory Stick to the new one?

Reseat the memory to see if any difference. If no change-try with one stick of memory, then the other to determine which one is bad, or  if both need replacing.

I have already replaced the 2 old memories to the new 2 ones. But I can see the 2 lights blinking 3 times. The laptop pc is turned off, turn on automatically, and then the 2 lights continue to blink.

What should I do?

Try the memory one stick at a time in different slots to see if maybe one slot is bad.

Are you absolutely sure the new memory is compatible?

I did try as you said to me, but the 2 lights are still blinking.
What should I do?
