Hello,
I have the following issue with getting my touchpad to work on my Compaq 610 notebook, WH247UTABA (Product), {Personal Information Removed} (Serial);
The touchpad shows in Device Manager as "Synaptics PS/2 Port Touchpad", and it says the device is working properly.
The touchpad doesn't function, and when I look for it in the Mouse category of the Control Panel, there is nothing present to enable or make setting changes or anything relative for a mouse - it's as if the touchpad isn't even recognized.
I do not know the correct keypad combination to enable it, in case that is the problem - I have tried FN key with all the keys to no avail.
Please assist me in determining what I need to do in order to enable it working or getting my laptop to recognize it. It used to work fine - now for some reason, it just stopped. I hope I didn't disable it via the keypad combinations by mistake. I would appreciate your assistance.

Hi,
Try double-tapping the top left corner of the touchpad as this is usually the method to toggle the pad On/Off.

Hi Totty2013,
I see that you are having troubles with your TouchPad. I will be happy to help out but I need some additional information. What is your operating system? What is your product number?
Find your product number on a notebook:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108
Finding your OS:

Thank you,
