Hurray! The virus wasn't detected by the malicious software removal tool so I uninstalled the Atheros driver and then re-installed it from the link that you provided and it's working! Struggled with this for weeks and I am very grateful for your help.Thank you. Nigel

You're very welcome, Nigel.

Good thing it didn't come to having to reinstall the operating system to fix the problem.

Best Regards,

I get an error message when I start up saying that the wireless module can't be found. This is an intermittent problem that I have had for 2 years now. I downloaded the HP support assistant  and the problem corrected itself. However the problem has started again. Some days no problem others like today, again it happens. Please help. Thanks

Hi Stevena,

I saw that you are having issues with your wireless and I will be happy to help. Start by using the HP Support Assistant to check for any updates that might be available. What is the exact error message that you are getting? What version of operating system are you running? I will also need your product number, please.
