Crucial  tells that my laptop supports 32gb of RAM.

but my laptop's manual tells that it supports 16gb at max on page number 12

what is truth???

can my laptop sustain cl 16 crucial's ballistix RAM?

As per the Service Guide the Notebook supports up to 16GB RAM

As per the Service Guide the Notebook supports only max 16 GB since it has only been tested with up to 16 GB RAM

 

You could try a 32 GB but HP cannot guarantee the functionality and performance of the 32 GB RAM
