Connect the monitor to hdmi, it is defined, but does not switch. Monitor Achieva Shimian QH270 DVI-D, HP Pavilion g6-2369er, bios f.25, amd catalyst 13.11. The laptop screen is too small for my work, I'm used to my monitor 27 ". I think the intel hd4000 does not support my monitor. I was looking for a bios update Fixed Mode switchable graphicsor Dynamic switchable graphics mode, but not found.

Hi Bul9. If your BIOS does not have the option to select Fixed or Dynamic, then your computer has a different implementation.
It is most likely that your setup is called "Muxless Switchable Graphics" which means your discrete card isn't connected to any outputs on your notebook (only the notebook's display).
As a result you can only use the Intel for output.
To verify this, You need to set the discrete GPU as the active GPU. (If you cannot do this step, my original statement must be true).
First use this to determine if your Catalyst is set to Fixed Mode.(Make sure your notebook is connected to external power)
See the section titled: "Changing Fixed Mode switchable graphics default settings" under (External power (AC adapter connected))
If you have a button that says "High Performance GPU" then click it!

If all went well, you can download AMD's System Monitor, and will allow you to verify that your ATI GPU is active.

After that is verified, you can try to use your external output again to see if it works.

Does that mean you have BIOS settings? If not, did you read the "Changing Dynamic Mode switchable graphics default settings" section of the document?

Sorry Bul9, You cannot disable the integrated Intel GPU, you can only switch it based on profile. Video out is probably not switchable to the secondary GPU on this unit.
