Does anyone know if there's anyway to make my DigitalPersona Personal fingerprint reader work with Google Chrome?  I have an HP Pavilion 64 bit running Vista (old yes I know but I've used Windows 8 on my daughter's laptop and I hate it!).  It came with the fingerprint reader installed and it worked fine with IE.  I can no longer upgrade IE because of having Vista and it is running really slow.  I'd like to use Google Chrome but there doesn't seem to be a way to use the fingerprint reader with Chrome.  Anyone know of a work around??

Welcome to the HP Forums!

 

I understand you are trying to use the fingerprint reader on your notebook with Google Chrome. Unfortunetly DigitalPersona is no longer supporting software this old.

 

The software vendor never added an extension for Chrome, and now that it is no longer in service the option will not be available.
