Hi! @radarear, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand that you are unable to boot into your PC, you are getting error smart check not installed, short DST not installed.

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?

Please try the troubleshooting steps once:

Step 01. Remove the battery and unplug the AC/Power Adapter

Step 02. Press and hold the Power button for more than 30 Seconds

Step 03. Plug in the AC/Power Adapter (leave the Battery out for now)

Step 04. Press the Power button and check if the Unit works normally

If the above-mentioned steps do not help, then you can try reseating the Hard Drive on your Notebook.

The error indicates it is a hard drive issue with your laptop.

Try running system diagnostics on your PC.

Refer this article to know how to run system diagnostics on your PC.

Run both short and extended test and if the test fails then make a note of the failure ID and contact HP for support options.

Link to contact HP.

I'll watch your reply.

Have a wonderful day ahead! 🙂
