HP ProBook 450 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I am planning to purchase the above HP Probook G4 (Model # : Z3Y46PA).

It has a i5-7200U cpu and according to the Intel ark site, this CPU supports:

Intel® VT-x with Extended Page Tables (EPT)
Intel® Virtualization Technology (VT-x)
Intel® Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (VT-d)

My question is whether the BIOS can activate these features.

I know HP have BIOS simulators to check this.

If there is any HP tech support represantative, please feel free to answer.

I prefer not to call HP, because I could be waiting a long time on hold.

I need these features because I am planning to test Hyper-V 2012/2012, Vmware ESXi.

It is going to be used as a test lab in order to learn more about virtualization.

Of course I will have to add a lot more RAM.

I would appreciate if anyone could provide some advice on this.

Thank you.

Best regards

Thanks banhien for your reply.

The answer is not specific to this model, it is specific to the HP Pavilion 23-b026in All-in-One Desktop.

I know HP have different bios releases for different notebook/desktop computers and they do not have all the options.

Alfred
