HP Stream 11.6 Inch Intel Cele
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The laptop has been running slow due to space issues. I decided to remove everything that was unnecessary and did a disk clean up to remove temporary files, etc,. I continually had to do this so decided to do a factory reset. The laptop won't work now it just churns for a few minutes and the the hp logo appears for a few seconds and it seems to switch off and it just goes round and round. I only bought this laptop in November and can't do anything with it now.

Hi @bmcquillan,

As I understand you are having issues with the factory reset on your HP PC. I'll try my best to help you with this,

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Have you made any software or hardware changes on the PC?

Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting this on HP Forums?

In the meantime, let's try these steps here:

Perform a Hard reset on the Notebook

Run the system diagnostics test as well as an extensive test on the Hard drive from F2 (Please remember to capture the failure ID for further assistance).

Depending on the test results, If all the test passes, I would suggest you contact our HP phone support to either order a set of recovery media or to have the unit repaired. Please fill in the product details to get the tech support number.

Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect

Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone numberCase number and phone number appear.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.

I have completed the form as requested. I think I actually did this a week ago before posting on this forum. There are no agents to chat on a Sundy and I am unavailable during the open times as I am at work.

The laptop is stll doing the same as last week and churns and churns with the HP logo coming up periodically. Following the reset videos hasn't achieved anything unfortunately. What do I do next? I have spent on this laptop but can no longer use it.
