I am launching ALM 12.10 in IE11, 64bit (32bit cannot be launched on my computer) It throws following error in Initializing plugin phase on splash screen:
Failed to initialize. Please contact system administrator for help. Description: Failed initializing plugin 'QC9 Adapters'. Could not load file or assembly 'System.Data.dll' or one of its dependencies. is not a valid Win32 application. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800700C1)
I turned on logging and found following messages in log:
15:22:23:419 1360 [INFO ] [CLoader::DownloadFile ] Going to download [simple_bind_status]https://quality-center.ent.cginet/qcbin/custom_modules.cab?CV=CV--2129301476 to path C:\Users\HAVRLA~1\AppData\Local\Temp\TD_80\Loader\custom_modules.cab 15:22:23:579 1360 [WARNING ] [CLoader::DownloadFile ] Download completed with 0x800C0006 15:22:23:579 1360 [INFO ] [CLoader::DownloadIniFile ] Download completed with 0x800C0006 15:22:23:579 1360 [WARNING ] [CLoader::DownloadIniFile ] https://quality-center.ent.cginet/qcbin/custom_modules.cab - Failed to download this file. I actually fixed this by reinstalling .NET libraries. I am not sure, which one made it work.
EDIT:
I also heard, that .NET Cleanup Tool may be helpful when uninstalling the .NET.
