I have my HP pavilion laptop 11.6 inch, recently bought a samsung monitor SA300 to connect to my laptop. The samsung monitor does not have HDMI provision. So i bought a HDMI to VGA converter and tried connecting the laptop and monitor , the message in the monitor displays "No Signal".
As i have changed the setting in MOnitor to PC, even i tried Fn+ all keys , but its not working.
Please help me on this. Do i need to install any driver for HDMI in laptop???
Appreciate your eary reply
Thanks
L. Rajesh

Hi,
Please do not use Fn, just hit F4 and what is your HDMI - VGA converter ?

Hi,
Sorry I don't know its specs. There are good, bad and ugly because it must convert from digital to analog. I've got a dozen of converters but only DVI to VGA otherwise I can tell you which brand, model and 100% worked because I'm using them right now.
Regards.

I will tell you waht has happened.
I connected the cable and my laptop screen changes the resolution to small.I right clicked on the desktop and choosen the grpahic properties, inside that i select "Output" and then selected "Digital signal".
So as soon as connect with the converter the screen goes blank and the monitor shows the message no signal.
How to revert the option as i did by right clicking????

Hi,
No, no HDMI driver. It come with NORMAL graphics driver. Is your computer normal (no downgrade, upgrade ...) ?
