Hello All,
Please help me, I would like to do clean OS install.
I need help locating Windows 7 drivers for HP 550 p/n NA951EA#ABB.
On support page I found XP and Vista 32 drivers.
1. Will Vista 32 driverswork with Windows 7 32 bit?
2. Are there aby drivers suitable for Windows 7 64 bit?
2. a. if there are Windows 7 64 bit drivers, are there any Windows 8 comaptible drivers?
CPU should support 64 bit (Intel CPU T5670).
Thank you for your help.

Hi:
Most of the Vista drivers should work, but I think you can use a lot of the W7 drivers from the HP 6910p.
It has a similar hardware (chipset, graphics...)
If you need any help finding drivers, I should be able to help you.
Windows 8...run the upgrade advisor before trying to install W8.

Thank you for reply and help.
My HP 550 has Intel graphics 965, Compaq 6910p has Intel GMA X3100 integrated graphics.
Any suggestion for this driver?
I plan to stay on Windows 7, 64 bit prefered.
965 should have X3000 graphics, found some drivers on Intel page
Should this work, considering it's generic Intel?

Hy!
I have the same laptop (hp 550 NA951EA#ABB) and I also have problems with drivers. Your advices are absolutely not working. I have win 7 32 bit installed. The biggest prob is with the graphic driver, I almoust can't use my laptop without this.
Already tried the vista driver, but ...."operating system is not supported"
And I've already tried the other driver, you suggested, with "the same chipset", BUT .. "not supported"
Can you just make drivers for win 7 ?
Is that a big thing?

Hi:
First please note that I am a volunteer that helps people resolve issues with their PC's.
I do not work for HP. I don't work for anyone for that matter, since I have retired from the workforce.
Your notebook is not supported by HP for Windows 7, so no one is going to write drivers for your model.
You will need to try some creative things to get W7 to work on your PC.
Now, there should be a way to get the Vista graphics driver to work on your model.
This is what you need to try.
Download and run this graphics driver again, and after you get the operating system is not supported" message, close out of that error window.
Now, go to the device manager and click to expand the display adapters category. Click on the Standard VGA Adapter needing drivers.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software method, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the graphics driver file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp39558.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install that way.
After you reboot, the graphics should be working.
If there are other drivers you are missing, please let me know what ones you need.

You're very welcome.
See if this one works. You don't need to do anything special. Just run it.
