For the HP 6910p Notebook, we can't find a suitable 64bit driver for the Infrared device.

We imported the version SMSC IrCC 5.1.3600.7 in SCCM, but that turned out to be the 32bit version, which won't install on 64bit W7.

 

There is no driver to be found on the SMSC.COM or HP.COM webpage, and all other forum posts about this subject are about 32bit OS.

Solved...

 

The driver from this site: http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/Download/ShowDescription.asp?SoftwareGUID=B15DCD11-D9B1-4F63-B1CC-4AE8...

has the correct driver. Accept the terms and click "download software".

It will download "FTS_SMSCIrDA_6260002_1041008.zip" which has a 32bit and 64bit folder.

 

It shows up in Device manager after installation as "SMSC Fast Infrared Driver"

Date: 11.05.2009 
Size: 0,05 MB  
Language:  / Supports all languages
