Will sir the problem with the battery check in HP support assistant was not resolved on my system but you can try the steps that our esteemed friend Kodos has suggested from the begining lets hope it works with yours. But if you just want to see the battery status try the last step mentioned.

Capture.JPGHii.. my HP support assistant says my new laptop battery charge capacity is 98% and Status OK (1). what is mean by this?? i think i hv a problem in my battery.. am I correct..? pls help me

Your status is OK indicating your battery is operating fine.   The 98% indicates the remaining charge capacity (fuel).   The charge capacity is depleted every time the battery is charged and dis-charged.  Over time and usage,  the battery will wear and eventually need to be replaced.   HP Battery Check verifies the battery is operating as excepted and it will iindicate when the battery should be repalced due to wear.

thank u sir.. it is helped to me..:manhappy:  bt i want to know charge capacity 98% is good or not..? Coz this a new battery..and other thing is my battery charge 100% is hold for only like 30seconds.. is it ok.? my laptop is HP Pavilion dv6 7023tx. One of my friend said my laptop is with high performance.. so my above problems is not really a matter..is he right? thank u..

Your battery is fine.   98% - 100% charge capacity is typical of a new battery.   The time your battery lasts between charges will depend on usage of your PC.   You can always use Battery Check to verify the integrity of your battery.   It is best to run Battery Check with the AC Power plugged into the PC t verify the charge capability of the battery.  In additon to Battery Status, Battery Check provides information about the status.   In depth information about HP LiION batteries can be found at www.hp.com/go/techcenter/battery.

The battery is not  communicating with your PC.  The battery needs to be replaced.

hy my laptop has shut down when its battery goes to 50% 0r 40% .. and did nt start untill i plug in..! i did the battery test using HP advance option..! it Passed the test..! and also update my battery status using HP support asistance ..! it shows weak status..! and it says the battery is functioning correctly but due to normal aging of the battery , the battery life between charges is significantly shorter than when the battery was new,,! the battery may be covered by your HP warranty , please contact HP.

nw tell me what should i do..! thank u
