My wife just received an HP chromebook for Christmas and her computer is having the same problems. Is there a solution to this issue yet? I've searched everywhere, but most of the resources I have found seem to be version 40/41. Her Chrome version is 47.

Hello HP -
I am having the same problem described above and it is causing me serious ongoing issues - about ready to throw out the chromebook and buy a mac...
I own a HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook running on:
Version 48.0.2564.116 (64-bit)
Platform 7647.84.0 (Official Build) stable-channel butterfly
Firmware Google_Butterfly.2788.39.0
My internet drops ~every 1.5 hours. I need to manually turn off wifi and turn it back on to restore connectivity.
Please help....
