Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

It might be an issue with Security as mentioned by new member laksh20 .

Another possible contributer and worth checking might changes in your general Updates or system configuration setup:  It might be time to Update, or at least reinstall, your Connection Manager program.

The following Connection Manager is an older configuration program from your System's Support Pages:

sp45134 connection manager V3.0.0.RevS

This Connection Manager is a newer program -- this version may be compatible with your computer:

HP Connection Manager sp54945 V4.1.25.1

==========================================================

Before you decide to install either program, complete the following:

  • Close running programs, browsers, and games

Next:

  • Create a Restore Point:

Restore Point XP  OR  Create a Restore Point – Win7  OR  Create a restore point Win8

Next:

==========================================================

Assure you have .NET Framework 3.5 installed:

  • Open a Windows Explorer window > Navigate to the following Path:

   %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\

  • Check folder contents for the appropriate version of Framework.

  • If the correct version of Framwork is missing, open your Browser > go to Microsoft > Follow the Instructions to Download and install the framework package:

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1

  • After the procedure is complete > Reboot / Restart your computer

==========================================================

  • Decide which of the two Connection Manager programs you want to (re)install.  If you wish, start with the older (original) Connection Manager -- try it.  If you want to then try the new program, Create Restore Point, and install the newer version of the Connection Manager program.

OR

  • You might like to try the newer version right away.

Your decision -- there is no one "right answer" --

You are the administrator and boss of your computer.

--------------------------------------------------------------

  • Download the program to your computer

NOTE the name and the location - the *.exe file will likely save to "Downloads “

  • Install the Software / Driver installation package:

If you have ‘Admin’ control, you may highlight the package(s) and “double-click” to install, else Right-Click, Select ‘run as Administrator’ and install.
