I have an HP envy x2. It was given to me by a friend who forgot passaword to log on to widows screen. Can you instruct me on how to reset it?

You can create a reset utility using the free application on the link below - this can be created on a disc or usb flash drive.

Im having the same problem ... HP Envy 15-k116TX After entering incorrect password three times it gives halt code: 68026368

I have a HP Envy X2 that is prompting for a password to enter the BIOS setup. I apparently have lost the password. I am able to boot windows, but cannot enter the bios setup. How may I reset the password?

 

The halt error code is : 58949632
