Hi folks

I keep getting a message that  says 'HP Simplfied'  can't be found.  (it's a font I think)

I have tried all sorts - running the HP tools and searching www for answers but nothing helps.  Anyone out there know what to do? Thanks 🙂

Hello @Snowdrop7,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums, I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.

I came across your post about the font issue, and wanted to help!

To start, can you provide me with the Product Number of the notebook?  Here is a link you can use that will help you find your Model and Product Number:

How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

What action are you trying to perform, when you receive this error message?  Or what program are you trying to run?  Looking forward to your reply.

Have a great day!

Hi SDF15

I too have suffered this problem several times recently.

The error is coming from Microsoft.NET Framework as shown here:-

My Product Number is J0D41EA#ABU

This appears to happen shortly after booting up. I have checked with both HP Support Assistant and Windows Update and my Laptop is fully updated.

Happens to me too when I start my Pale Moon browser after restart or waking after hibernation.

I think I fixed this, or at least I don't see the problem any more after a restart, a hibernation wake and complete shut down and restart.

Go to this Microsoft page to download .netframework repair tool and run it.- https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135

Accept recommendations and Finish.

To test, go to Control Panel/Programs and Features. In left column, select 'Turn Windows features on and off'. Deselect all .NET Frameworks (I have 3.5 and 4.6). Reboot. Repeat previous steps, only this time, select to enable all .NET Frameworks. My 3.5 was missing components which, by selecting download from Windows Update, allowed reinstall to finish. Just to be safe, reboot even if not asked to. Testing after restart shows problem solved , although  problem was only very occasional so it has not passed test of time yet. Good Luck
