I understand you are still experiencing an issue updating your HP G72 Graphics Driver to a higher Service Pack then sp50231? I would like to offer my assistance in this. I would recommend that you download and installed the Service Pack sp50704 as it is for your system and Windows 7 64-bit. To install this Service Pack simply follow the instructions below:

 

Step 1. Download the file by clicking the "Download" or "Obtain Software" button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved).

Step 2. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

Ok I download and Instal Service Pack sp50704 ... and now I have graphics driver version 8.741.1.0 - date of creating driver 9.9.2010...but I'm looking for something newer...Driver of the year 2012-13 for example...

Unfortunately, the driver I provided is the newest driver available for your computer running Windows 7. You can keep checking back on your drivers page here to see if any newer drivers come available.

Thank you so much for solving the problem...but it is strange that the equipment manufactured in 2011 has the latest support from 2010.

hello i have an hp g72-a10ev 

i install graphics drivers 

an intel 

but when i install ATI radeon hd 5470  my laptop  show me a black screen can you help me ?
