Hi All.... first time here 😕
Got an HP G62 with a slight problem....
When I Boot up... i get the HP Logo but no "press Esc key for start up menu" displaying.
It still boots through to windows no problem.
If i press esc anyway... nothing happens... just boots through to windows, after asking me to select windows 7 or do a RAM diagnostics.
It does this no matter which Fkey i press..... I cant get to BIOS, i cant goto boot options or any other fuvnction...
Anybody got any clues?
Also.... when i get into windows... i goto disk mnanager and mark the recovery partition as active and then reboot so it loads into the recovery partition (as i cant F11 due to the afore mentioned problem).
The recovery menu loads up and i start it but then odley it tells me that it cant be run from the hard drive... whats that all about?
Apprciate all help and many thanks in advance 🙂

Hello TPRS,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you are missing the BIOS flash screen for your notebook on startup.
Some BIOS versions allow you to disable the flash screen on startup, but typically hitting ESC will get you into the startup screen, which allows you to press F10 to enter the BIOS.
There is a way to restore the BIOS on your notebook, which may help: Restoring the BIOS.
Try this, and let me know how it works out for you.

Hello again TPRS,
Did you try my suggested fix on restoring the BIOS? You can find the link for this here: Restoring the BIOS.
Let me know if this works.
