HP HSTNN-PRO7 Remote

Hello,

I am having notebook HP PAVILION DV4-2126TX . But i had not used the remote (HP HSTNN-PRO7  Remote) which I had received along with it.

But I don't know how to connect it with notebook to operate mediacentre features of notebook through this HP HSTNN-PRO7  Remote.

I had formatted my notebook & have installed most of the required drivers for connectivity. Could you pls guide me?

When I press HP HSTNN-PRO7  Remote ON button, it doesn't get connected. Is there any driver missing?

Also note that, I have already installed sp46741.exe . But still not able to connect remote with notebook. Pls guide me on priority.

Hi,

You need ENE CIR Receiver Driver for your machine first:

     http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp46501-47000/sp46741.exe

this will receive commands (press buttons) from the remote control.

Yes. I have replaced old battery with new one yesterday only. But unable to connect it? Is there any light glows once remote is on? Pls help

Hi,

Please try

(a) Right click a blank space on taskbar,

(b) Open Task Manager,

(c) Click Service tab,

(d) Go to  Human Interface Device Access service,

(e) Right click and enable it.
