HP Laptop stuck in continuous loop of preparing automatic repair. I am raising the white flag as I am pretty techinical and tried everything. CHKDSK did fix a bunch of things as I can get to the C: drive from the diagnostic menu. However at this point and because of that I am going to buy a new SSD drive. Only problem is that I need my WIndows key and MSOffice key and I don't have that. I bought this by calling HP directly. Would they have the key(s)? I don't believe I was ever given media as the laptop does not have a DVD player. Also when I got this it was WIndows 8 and I have since upgraded to Windows 10. Even if I get the key, will I be SOL trying to install Windows 10 with a Windows 8 key? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

If this PC was upgraded to Windows 10, you can just get the install media from the Media Creation Tool on Microsoft's site and install from that without a product key. When that question comes up during the install, click on skip.
As to the MSOffice, that key needs to be retieved from the present install in order to activate the product on the reinstalled Windows 10.
I have not used this product nor do I recommend it, just info for your condition.

Great information!!!!!!!! I can't thank you enough! I have used Nirsoft stuff before so I checked it out and I got the windows key by downloaded the 64bit version. It didn't give me the MSOffice key but perhaps I can find another tool to do that. Can't wait to upgrade to an SSD drive!!!!
