Hi
I've just done all that and did a quick care and deep care scan. Both found ALOT of problems and repaired them all and were very quick which is good. I restarted the notebook twice and both times started up first time for the FIRST time for a couple of weeks. I will see if it starts up again tomorrow first time. FINGERS CROSSED
Also I remember noticing that before when I started up there was two blue LED flashes from the CAPS LOCK key when starting up and I found that it was a BIOS Corruption Failure. Not sure if you know anything about this but forgot to tell you before?
Heres the link I found out about it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01443366
THANKS for the help though it really was helpful!

Hello,
Glad I could help you! Don't worry about the 'Caps' Lights' issue anymore; it has left your laptop! Also, if you open up ASC and go to the Toolbox, you will see that Disk Doctor (A very good program) and Win Fix (Another excellent tool) are both at your disposal!
Again, I'm glad that I could help you! And if your issues with that once pesky but now sweet laptop are resolved, don't forget to mark this thread as FIXED! ! Oh, yeah, don't forget to make new restore points, as the old ones are no longer good!

Okay, and 'Hello!'
Open up Advanced System Care, click the third icon, Toolbox view details in the Toolbox you will see Six distinctive areas with distinctive job descriptions. Under repair is the Disk Doctor, please click on and run this excellent program.. After running Disk Doctor, please click on and run Iobit Win Fix, which is located directly below Disk Doctor. Then exit all programs and restart your laptop to see if the issue has gone'way. Please-Get back!
And always make restore Points!

Hello again, Tim86
Don't get all wired-out about those ActiveX and Class issues. They're cluttering garbage! Every time that you boot your laptop and launch programs and launch IE, those ActiveX Class issues are picked up like lint and deposited in your Laptop's Register. Iobit ASC is just keeping that garbage cleaned out so it doesn't build up like it did on your laptop before! Remember? Okay? And don't change the Safe Settings I gave you, either or. . . . you should copy the page in this link that has the safe settings. They took quite a while for me to reseach and test. But as I said earlier in this thread, I've been using ASC for over seven years.

I did the Disk doctor and WinFix scan they found no error. They were quite quick aswell. Shutdown is still quite slow. I found out that it could be the non microsoft services/ processes taking a long time to shut down and that I should diasable them and enable each one at a time after each shut down to see the service with the problem.
Also were is the link you talk about in your last post edit?
