Hi Mk33333,
I understand your audio is not working on Windows 8. If you follow this document it will help with the sound.
Also make sure your updates have been done. Here is a document on how to do the Windows 8.1 updates.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Thank you for your reply.
In my case, although a title is Windows8, in all Windows8.1 preview-RTM and release versions,
it is the same.
In a device manager, it is errorless and it is displayed that it is operating normally.
It once deletes, even if it reboots, it is the same, and the same driver is installed.
Although it is possible to update a driver, it is the same also at the updated driver.
Moreover, after using Windows8, the driver for Windows7 cannot be put in.
Just to make sure, the present system is specified.

Celeron T1600
RAM 4G
GL40 Express
Thank you for your consideration.

Hi Mk33333,
Thank you for all the information. You need to remove Windows 8.1 preview (as it was a beta version) and reinstall Windows 8.1. If you follow this link it will take you right to the update. It is a link for Microsoft and it gives you step by step.

After the update is done you might have to restart and run Windows update again.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Hello!
I have the same problem with audio - it works fine on Windows 7, but not works on Windows 8/8.1 Pro. It works also on Windows 8 Preview. Update from working Windows 7 to 8 has broken audio again.
I also tried to reinstall Windows and drivers, uninstall all audio drivers and restart PC to initialize first driver setup.
There's no "Unknown" device in Device Manager.
Troubleshooter has not found any problems.
Nothing helps.
Is there any solutions?
Thanks.
