Hey @alishahudson,
I understand that your HP Stream 11-d011wm Notebook PC will not turn on at all. You had said " I've let it sit and I've tried all the forum suggestions. I'm thinking of tearing it apart and trying to fix it from the inside" in a previous post. Please wait before you take the Notebook apart; I am here to help!
If the Notebook is still in warranty (please use the Warranty Checker if you are unsure), I would not suggest opening up the Notebook. Although opening up the notebook should not void your warranty, if any damage is caused during the process without contacting HP Support then it can void your warranty.
Below are some troubleshooting steps that may help. When we have come to a resolution, please share what worked for you with others by marking that post as an Accepted Solution.
Note: please make sure that the AC adapter cable is not plugged into a power strip, surge protector, or secondary power source. It should be directly into a wall outlet. Please remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices, as these could cause some issues.
If there is no noise from the Notebook case or fans, the lights on the Notebook do not illuminate (including keyboard LEDs), and the screen is not receiving a video signal, your Notebook might not be receiving power.
Here is a document I found called Computer Does Not Start. Please follow each and every troubleshooting step in this document to help narrow down where the issue may be coming from.
Please try performing a hard reset.
Did you receive any error messages before this happened?
Do you have any blinking LED lights?
If you are still in warranty, it would be better for you to use the following link to create yourself a case number:
Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number
If you require further assistance here, I would be more than happy to continue to help you. Please just re-post with detailed results of the troubleshooting, Which Windows Operating Systems you are running. and any other information you think may help me to assist you better.
