Hello,
Recently my HP Spectre x360 failed to turn on. after leaving it sit for a little bit and then trying it again it tried to turn on and there was smoke and a burning smell that eminated from the laptop. When the back is opened it appears that there is a burnt component on the MoBo. This is a know issue per this thread: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Please-recall-HP-Spectre-X360-...
Has this reached recall status yet considering it is a known issues with many people chiming in about theirs doing it as well? I would like to get this fixed and its obviously the use of inferior components has caused this laptop to burn out before most laptops would be even close to end of life. So how do i go about getting this fixed when it's a known issue?

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
