HP Spectre XT 13 RAM Upgrade

Can I upgrade the RAM memory on my computer?

The model is the HP Spectre XT 13 (i5 3317U)

The memory that the computer currently has is 4GB DDR3L 1600 Mhz

can I take out the 4GB and upgrade to a new 8GB dimm or is integrated on the board?

Can you please provide me with the Product Number of your notebook?  Here is a link you can use that will help you find your Model and Product Number: How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

With that, I can provide more accurate information about your RAM upgrade options.  Here is the information I was able to find so far about the product.  The HP Spectre XT 13 either has an on board 4GB memory, or has a 4GB memory stick, which is the highest compatible with the product.

My product number is: B3y80EA#ABE  (The 0 (zero) could be an O(uppercase o))

Based on your Product Number, the max memory that your unit will support is 4 GBs:
