Hey @BCBoaz

Welcome to the HP Support forum.

Is this related to Windows password

or BIOS start-up password ?

* If related to Windows account password... there is not much that can be done officialy  but  please check this forum thread >> https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/I-forgot-my-password-can-HP-hel...

If you want to completely reset the device, here is how you can do it:

1. Please, shutdown the device using the power button

2. Plug it into the keyboard part

3. Power the device on.

3.1. As soon as you press the power-on button, immediately begin hitting the Esc button (like tap-tap-tap).

This should open a HP Startup Menu which may look similar to this one

4. Choose F11 for System Recovery options.

The computer should boot from it's recovery partition to open you various recovery options. Note, that F11 option will only work if the recovery partition is there (not deleted) and intact. From there, you have prenty of options to choose from. Every HP computer comes with recovery partition present to assist in tough moments.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions. Here are details >  http://hp.dezide.com/ts/start.jsp?guide=HPSystemRecovery.net&section=ccweb&SFS=tdoc&language=english...

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes and provide your feedback/update.
