Bought this laptop yesterday, took it home and it ran fine. I completed the setup then had to go out so I turned it off.

When I got home I turned it on again, it came up with a blue screen saying that windows had encountered a problem and I had to restart the laptop. Then it came to this grey screen with a little loading circle icon at the bottom centre of the screen.

It just stays on this screen no matter how long I leave it. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Thanks in advance

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

You should definitely NOT be having problems like this with a brand new PC!

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do from here to diagnose or repair your PC.

You paid for free HP Tech Support as part of the warranty coverage, so you might as well make use of it.

While this PC is still under warranty, you should contact HP Customer Support directly to have them put you in touch with HP Technical Support to see what they can do about troubleshooting and repairing your machine remotely.

If they can not fix it, then they should be willing to replace it.

If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!

If you have trouble finding a phone number, then try: 1 (800) 474-6836

Good Luck
