I cannot for the life of me remember my password. I got a new laptop and completely forgot about my netbook. Now it being about 3 years later.. I'm stuck! I'd prefer to keep my Windows OS if anyone can help me crack the password.. or if all else fails, I'll try to convert to Linux Ubuntu..

I have the same password problem. I bought a HP Mini 110 from a pawn shop for my kids to do their IXL on for school and browse the internet. The laptop is in beyond great condition and I hate to get rid of it. When I turn it on there's a login screen with a username on it already and a place to put a password, that I don't know. I tried to reset it and got a code that says CNU938CD4W. Is there a master password I can enter or what should I do?

Now you can reset your account password from \Control Panel - User Accounts\
If that doesn't work, your best bet would be to either perform a system recovery or re-load the operating system onto the notebook.

Hi,
Try entering: e9lofgf1z0 ( Note that the 3rd character is a lower case L and the last is zero )
