Hi,
The 303 error code is a failure of the short Disk Self Test( DST ) and would indicate that the Hard Drive is failing and needs to be replaced.
If your notebook is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange to have the drive replaced - you can check your warranty status Here.
If you live in the US, contact HP Here.
If you are in another part of the world, start Here.
If you are out of warranty and would like a guide on replacing the Hard Drive yourself, please let me know - include the full Model No. and Product No. of your cq57 series notebook - see Here for a further explanation.
Regards,
DP-K

Hi,
I assume you mean you've installed a new Hard Drive - if this is correct, you can order a replacement set of Recovery Discs using the link below.
If you have any problem with this link, order them directly from HP.
If you live in the US, contact HP Here.
If you are in another part of the world, start Here.
Regards,
DP-K

I acquired an hp pavilion desktop with a password I can't hack. I've researched and understand I can access a restore manager at the boot up menu by pressing f11 I did this and now it's been on the loading Microsoft flashing lining loading screen for an hour. Tips?
