Everytime I turn my computer on, this HP Chat Support window powered by LogMeIn opens.  In the past, I have just closed this windows.  After updating my operating software to Windows 10 creator, this window pop ups again after start up and after closing it, it continues to pop back up.

How can I permanently uninstall this program from my computer?

Thanks

Hi! @gldndome, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand you need to know how to uninstall log me in support from your PC.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes to your PC?

To uninstall log me in from you PC. Right click the start button and select control panel.

Select programs and feature from the list of installed programs double click log me in and click uninstall.

Restart your PC. Log me in should be uninstalled from your PC.

Or you can try the steps recommended below.

Open Command Prompt as an Administrator
Type cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\LogMeIn\x86" (x64 if using a 64-bit OS) and hit Enter
Type logmein uninstall and hit Enter
Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer

Hope this answers your query!

Cheers! 🙂

Hello Mr. Robot,

Thank you for your quick response.

I have not made any software/hardware changes recently although i did update my operating software to windows 10 (creator) yesterday.

I tried the first option you suggested.  Unfornately logmein was not one of the installed programs on the list.

After typing the instructions in your second suggestions, I got the following error message:

'C:\Program' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

Is there anything else that you would be able to suggest?

Thank you

@gldndome, It's great to hear from you again.

I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps.

As you mentioned you are still unable to uninstall log me from your PC.

Please download Revo uninstaller and delete the log me in files from your PC.

I'll watch your reply!

Take Care! 🙂

Hello Mr. Robot,

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

I have downloaded Revo Uninstaller and I still do not see the LogMeIn program under the listed programs.  I have attached a picture of the pop up window that keeps on showing up on my computer if that helps at all.

Thank you for any other suggestions

@gldndome

It looks like you were interacting with @A4Apollo, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out,

I'm the Riddle_Decipher & I'm at your service.

I understand you've attempted to remove the LogMeIn using the Revo uninstaller and yet can't find the application,

That said, the app should normally delete on its own when the PC is restarted after the Chat support interaction and hence I request you to restart the computer if you haven't already 😉

That said, if the issue is regarding the annoying pop-up each time you turn on your PC,

You can disable the pop-up using the System Configuration Utility: Click here for details.(look under Services tab of the MSConfig window).

Keep me posted for further assistance 😉

Thank you @Riddle_Decipher for taking over for @MrRobot

I was never able to find the LogMeIn program in either Revo uninstaller or using Control Panel (add/remove programs).

I could never see it in the listed programs that I could uninstall?  Does that mean that the program in not installed on my computer?

I was able to go into System Configuration under the services tab and find 3 LogMeIn Rescue services listed.  I was able to disable the 3 services and after the restart, the pop up ceased to come up.  Does that mean the program has been uninstalled or is it just dormant until i reactivate?

Thank you for your help!

Hi @gldndome

I am the The_Fossette. It looks like you were interacting with @Riddle_Decipher, but he is out of the office today so I'll take over from here.

Yes, the program is not installed on your computer and it was just the service which was running.

I am positive that you should not receive any pop up related to log me in now.

If any other questions arise, please feel free to write back to me.

Take care.

Cheers!
