My touchpad feels sticky and its very hard to use. What should i do ? How to clean it the proper way .

You only "dampen slightly" a cloth. It shouldn't be wet enough to drip any water.

I grasp that your  touchpad has become dirty and you would like to clean it.  Here is a link to How to Clean a Laptop Touchpad    from eHow.

Is this method safe because if a water  drop goes inside it will cause the laptop to rust
