@Dsird,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are looking to disable Nvidia Optimus so that only a discrete video card works

I have a few recommendations

  • To turn off Nvidia Optimus. Open the Control Center software. Select “General Settings, scroll down to “Disable Nvidia Optimus” and make the appropriate change. A reboot will be required to complete the process.
  • To Set discrete graphics card as default. Right-click any blank space on the desktop and choose NVIDIA Control Panel. Click Manage 3D settings, go to Preferred graphic processor, and select High-Performance NVIDIA processor and then Apply.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
