Hi,

For your model, the sound bar osd is provided by HP MediaSmart SmartMenu.

You can either just uninstall this from its entry in Programs and Features or just prevent it from running at start-up - you can do the later as follows.

Hold down the Windows key and press R. In to the Run box type msconfig and hit enter. In the following window, click the Start up tab, remove the tick next to HP MediaSmart SmartMenu and then click Apply and Okto make the change. Reboot the notebookfor this change to take effect.
