I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 10 and it says I need to remove HP Protect Tools Security Manager as well as HP Protect Tools Devise Access Mgr, File Sanitizer For HP Protect, Privacy Manager For HP Protect Tools and Drive Encryption For HP Protect Tools. When I tried to uninstall them, it wouldn't allow me. I have till the end of July to upgrade to Windows 10. What do I need to do?

Uninstall the HP protect tools following these steps,

1> Go to Start -> All Programs -> HP Protect Tools Security Manager -> Settings Click the box to the left of the menu. The green check in the box should disappear, which means that the application is disabled.

Restart the computer after this.

Click the Start button or on Start.
Click Control Panel from the list in the right margin.

Be careful about putting your phone number in a post you're more likely to get a call from a scammer then from HP.

I had a phone call tonight telling me my computer is putting out error messages on the internet, from the accent it was an scammer in another country.

If my post resolves your issue please click the accepted as solution button under it.

To thank a Tech for a post click the thumbs up button under the post.

You can even click both buttons. . .
