 Hi Friends

M new to this thread , and i am into a serious problem .

I have Hp pavilion g6 2005ax notebook , warranty expired a month ago.

I have updated my bios f.05 to f.24 using Hp support . the update was successfull until asked for the restart. When my notebook restarted , it was left only with blank screen with only caps lock led blinking and f12 red led on.

As refering to support forums , i also tried pressing power + win + b  button several times , but it doesn't work .

Also removed battery and thn power on without adaptor , and then power it on by adaptor : it also doesn't worked

after going through this forum i am trying to create usb key via my friends second old laptop , and as per this forum i have created key with Hp_tools by using UEFI tool , but when i am downloading my bios file and after installing is is saying "IHISI : Get support mode fail in SMI " .

Please help me to unbrick my notebook . i have purchased it wih my 4 years pocket money saving:(.

Hello to all!
I bricked my laptop bios Model: HP Pavillion DV6-1020el.

The PC seems to start but then it stops just charge Bios (Update gone bad)

I read a lot but I could not restore it.

I can only retrieve it via USB, the HDD is new!!!!
---------------------------------------------------------

From the HP website I downloaded the latest bios: sp54629.exe

decompress in a folder and I get the following files:

3623F46.fd
Ding.wav
InsydeFlash.exe
InsydeFlash.Log
iscflash.dll
iscflash.sys
iscflashx64.sys
platform.ini
-----------------------------------------

Now through "PhoenixTool" I open the file "3623F46.fd" and get 2 files called

"BIOS0.BIOS" and "BIOS5.BIOS" also a folder with many small files called "DUMP"

WHAT SHOULD I RENAME AND WHERE TO PUT THE FILES?
---------------------------------------------

I have a USB of 1gb ready for "HP_TOOLS" With all the folders and subfolders in order.

Please help me. Forgive my English translated.

Hi regster. Your English is terrific, no need to apologize here. Also note, you have not bricked your notebook as it turns on.

You can recover your bios with a keyboard combination on start up. Refer to the included document.
