Please help!!!

I have been trying to connect my Hp 620 laptop (OS - Windows XP) to wireless in vain. The wireless button just next to the f12 key is orange in color. Problem is I dont know how to turn it on so that it shows the blue color.

I have tried pressing the ((I)) button, the f12 button, shutting down removing the battery and restarting. Everything I could think of.

Kindly help!!
