i tried the Win + B solution and that did not work for me. how i got it working was to open the laptop and unplug the cmos battery after which it came back on and is working. Just had to update time settings only. note that there is an additional two screws hidden under the rear rubber feet. find link to disassembly guide below

Hello and thank you for saving me from throwing my laptop out of a moving car. Your clarification helped. ..it worked AFTER I quit holding down the power button. 😆
