That is bizarre.

My last suggestion and I hope it works is for you, to install the amd driver directly from AMD and see if that works better than the one on your PC's support and driver page.

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy2&os=Windows 7 - 64

Also try installing the latest chipset driver and see if that works too.

i was download it for many times, but they said my laptop didnt meet minimum system requirement.

that work when i use my old windows, but not for now.

so, why hp make available to instal vga driver 64 bit for HP Compaq 41 224TX, if didnt work..

i was going to HP service, and they said to re install my windows 7 64 bit (i did, but stil not working).
they said, brightness control will work if i can install intel vga driver...

I don't work for HP, so I cannot answer your question as to what HP does or fails to do.

The product specifications for your notebook indicate that it has the AMD graphics adapter, not the Intel one.

http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02002389

So, try the amd driver.

But, they (hp) said, if your laptop (in32bit) support this driver, thats not problem when you use 64bit..
But by the way,
Thanx for the answer 🙂

So, how to change the brightness? I cant find the button (in search at start windows, and control panel)

If this isnt driver problem?

You're very welcome.

If you are running a 64 bit operating system you cannot use any 32 bit drivers.

They must be 64 bit drivers.

Please do me a quick favor...I want to identify the model of the graphics adapter in your notebook, so I know for sure what we are dealing with here.

Go to the device manager. Click to expand the display adapters category. Click on the Standard VGA Adapter and post the hardware ID for it.

Use this guide for where to find the hardware ID.

http://www.wikihow.com/Find-Hardware-ID

Those ID's will let me know what model graphics adapter your notebook has for sure.

this is my hardware id, from ATI Radeon

PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9555&SUBSYS_1414103C
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9555&CC_030000
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9555&CC_0300

so, what i can do for fix the problem brightness control?

That is definitely the AMD graphics adapter, NOT Intel

Install the AMD 64 bit driver I posted, and you should be all set.

I was install it, but thats not change 😞

I cant adjust brightness, because the button is missing, like the picture.

So, did i wrong in installed process? I just click express instal in ATI radeon setting 😛
