Should look like. "G6-XXXXxx"

Help on this site was quick and very helpfull, the solution was a new Battery, very expensive from the US with the postage but have found the site for the batery for my HP Pavilion g6 i5 Laptop

That's ok, no worries, I was just so glad to be able to resolve the problem without cost, which is rare today.
