JMicron JMB38X drivers not compatible with windows 8. I have a HP Pavilion dv5t-10000 laptop with 4gb of memory. Any assistance resolving this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks .

I downloaded the .cab file and tried to reinstall the card reader. Windows 7 keeps telling me I already have the latest driver installed and will not install any other drivers. Any suggestions ?

Windows 8 has not been officially released, so you must be using a test or beta build. There is no support for this version.
I would suggest installing the official release of Windows 8 at the end of this month.

I do not have windows 8 installed. I am running the windows 8 compatibility tool only.

You may have to wait until after the 26th of this month when the official version of Windows 8 is released, then see if there is an updated driver release. I don't have any other suggestions at this time.
