A couple weeks ago my HP Pavilion TS Sleekbook started making a beeping sound whenever I pressed the 4 key. Today I pressed it again and all of a sudden it started making a constant humming beeping noise even if I'm not typing anything. It only goes off when I turn my computer off. It's erally annoying and it's not coming from my computer's speakers but from the internal part of the keyboard or something. Also whenever I plug in my headphones the sound going to my headphones goes quiet and louder from just lightly pushing down the bottom left hand of the laptop flat part.

I'm pretty dissappointed and annoyed by the deteriorating quality of this supposedly magnificent touchscreen PC.

Hello @cwhitten ,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand your notebook is making a humming sound.

The 4 key is close to the CPU fan and you may be hearing the humming of the fan vibrating against the back of the keyboard. The beeping is most likely the result of the pressure on the fan housing stopping the fan from spinning and you're hearing the BIOS alarm.

I would suggest opening the notebook to clean out the fan and reseat the keyboard. Do not remove the fan and heatsink unless you have new thermal paste to apply to the CPU and GPU. To give you the guide for this I need to know exactly which notebook you are using. For information on finding your product and model numbers click here: How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

You can find it in the user guides section (Near the top) once you have the product number on this page: HP - Drivers & Downloads.

Once you've tried this I would send the notebook for service if the issue persists. You can do this by contacting HP Phone Support. You can contact HP Technical Support at 1-800-474-6836 in North America. For all other regions click here.

Hopefully reseating everything works.
