Hello folks..
I have just purchased a brand new HP Spectre X360 Convertible (13 inch, i7 - Product number: N5R93UA#ABA) and its keyboard is not being turned on automatically on the Windows logon screen. If, however, I manually switch it to the tablet mode and then switch it back to the laptop mode it starts working, which gives me the impression that is a driver related issue. I have already removed all the three keyboard drivers, restarted the PC, noticed that the drivers were reinstalled automatically, however, the problem was NOT solved.
As an additional information, I noticed that the keyboard responds at boot option screen (previous to Windows start up). It also works just fine on the BIOS utility - which reinforces that the issue should be related to Windows or the Keyboard Driver.
Any ideas other than retoring Windows would be useful. As a matter of fact, the problem exists since the very first windows logon.

Hello @NelsonRLB,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, both from other users, HP experts and other support personnel.
I read your post about the keyboard issue, and wanted to assist you!
Have you tried using the Windows Update, to check for drivers that will work with Windows 10? You can check this site as well: HP Products - Where Do I Find Windows 10 Drivers and Software for My Model?
If you are having trouble installing the drivers, you can use the tool at the following site:
Open the Windows Update troubleshooter
If that does not help, then you may consider performing a System Recovery to put the notebook back to its factory settings.
Please let me know if this information was helpful by clicking the thumbs up below. If this post resolved your issue, then please click on Accept as Solution.

Hi SDFF15
I have updated Windows until there were no more updates. Also, have tried looking for a specific driver at the link you provided, found just a touchpad driver, which Windows says I alreeady have a newer version. I would like to explore other options before restoring Windows - as I said before, the problem was therre since the first login.
Any other ideas?

Hello @NelsonRLB,
Thank you for the quick reply!
Try using the solutions on this site as a workaround, and let me know how it goes:
How to: Install and Update drivers in Windows 10
If you are still having trouble, then try installing the previous version of the driver. If all else fails, then the System Recovery seems like the best option.
I hope this helps.
