OMEN by HP Laptop PC - 17-w033
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just got this new laptop, right out of the box. The keys are "sticking" in games. They sometimes stay held when I let go or become unresponsive for a bit. Is there a solution for this? This is kinda ridiculous. I JUST bought it and it isn't working right. is this a normal hp thing for them to be broken right out of the box? If you need any more details, let me know. The game I am trying to play is Team Fortress 2. This problem did not exsist on my old laptop.

UPDATE:

After updating bios, the keys don't "stick", but they still don't respond at times untill I repress the key. I am returning the laptop and am going back to Dell. Good job hp.

Hi,

Is this your notebook?

If it is, make sure you're running the latest bios version ( F.09 Rev.A ) as it mentions 'Provides improved keyboard behavior when games are played on the system.'

You can check the notebooks current bios revision by holding down the fn key and pressing esc.

If you are running an earlier revision, F.09 Rev.A can be found on the following link.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp76501-77000/sp76810.exe

If you're already running this bios, or it doesn't correct the issue, my best advice would be to contact HP regarding this while the machine is still under warranty.

If you live in the UK, contact HP Here.

If you are in another part of the world, start Here.

Regards,
