HP Notebook - 15-r201ne (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear Helpers,

I own an HP Notebook 15 -Core I3 4005u (listed above) and I would like to ask a few questions.

Can I upgrade to a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 250 GB? I-Asking if my laptop has an NVMe M.2 slot- if not, can it have an 870 EVO PLUS SSD?

Can I upgrade my ram to 16 GB DDR3 1600MHz?

Thanks.

Hi @moora1 ,

Unfortunately, your notebook has its processor integrated into (soldered onto) its systemboard so it is not upgradeable.

There is no M.2 slot and the type of SSD that it can be upgraded to is 2.5" SATA, not NVME. Neither of the SSD products you asked about are compatible with your notebook.

Guaranteed compatible upgrade products.

The maximum memory (RAM) that can be installed is 4GB

Here is the Maintenance & Service guide for your notebook. (see the description section for more info on your notebook model series)
