If you hold the power button for 10 seconds then it should force a power off, failing that it's a case of pulling the power lead and battery or waiting for the battery to die if it's not removable

Holding the button down normally turns it off but it didn't work in this case. Battery wasn't dying at all. Took the battery out put it back in and now it's working. Thank you for your response.
