I've done some investigating and a lot of people are having this problem with different types of HP laptops. The consensus seems to be that eventually HP will realize the problem and create an update that will solve it.

I wish hp would fix the problem quickly because I can't really afford to have my laptop not working.

Hi - My x360 was doing the same thing. I did many of the same things said in this post. Nothing worked. I noticed there was a BIOS update on HP website for my laptop. I downloaded and installed the latest version following the instruction totally and took my time. My X360 finally sleeps right. I just luv that little laptop:smileyhappy:

I have the same issue. I recently bought a "new" HP 14 Notebook PC. The first one was unable to connect to the Internet due to "configuration" problems. I exchanged it for a new one (less than one week old). Since I was told to employ the RECOMMENDED Windows update, the entire system shuts off when I flip the screen down (mind you, still recommending I will update further).
This is maddening and from what I have seen on this forum, the only real advice is to roll back the update. I have tried the other options to no avail. Will someone please help?
Issues like this are some of the main reasons why HP is considered to be one of the worst laptops to buy amongst tech circles (I work for one but had little money so I had no choice but to buy this laptop).
I appreciate any help that you may have.
Sincerely,
The guy who cannot seem to get his new HP to function correctly.
