Hello,

I have a Refurbishd HP Pavilion G7-1340DX. The laptop was bought during Black Friday this past Christmas and had been working fine since then. A couple of weeks ago it suddenly stopped charging while I was in the midst of using it, I figured it might have been the outlet it was plugged into, so I changed it and it began to charge again. Since then I had kept it in the same outlet, but just today it decided to completely stop. I tried switching from outlet to outlet within the room, no luck.

The adapter seems to be making a low clicking noise whenever it's plugged in, I'm not sure if that's anything to be concerned about.

I can no longer get my laptop to charge and am not sure what to do. It's warrant has expired, there's no coverage for it whatsoever and I do not have the money for another laptop. Hoping I may be able to get some help.

Thank you for the help and for reading. ~

Hello Cinae,

Please take a look at this page, which contains various troubleshooting steps to test your adapter & battery.  Here is one specifically for your AC adapter.  Please let me know if the troubleshooting steps help you determine where the issue lies.

Good luck!
